Club Updates: October - December 2019

Latest Updates: The Cuckoo Cup: -Preparations are well underway for the Cuckoo Cup -Facilities at the PEC in Belfast have been booked and confirmed -New Cup Crest has been commissioned and will be ready in early-January 2020 -We are continuing to work with our event sponsor Cuckoo in advance of the event in March -The club is looking into accommodating spectators during the event -The club is looking into accommodating some members of the local press for the event -The club is looking into accommodating a live stream of the event


Club Equipment and Kit: -New order of equipment has been deliberated and approved for purchase by the Organising Committee. Arrival of the new equipment is expected in early-January 2020 in time for the new semester -Further research has been done into having a customised kit manufactured for the club, especially with the game in March approaching. Consultation regarding the kit will take place during January 2020 with the hope that the kit will arrive in February 2020 Training Updates: -Special thanks must go to Alexandra Zadilska and to Andrew Fisher for keeping the club moving and well organised during the research trip of Steven Egan -Development of tactics will continue into the Spring 2020 -New drills have been prepared for Spring 2020 to promote player development and growth -Drills have been digitalised into a new playbook which will be disseminated to players during training in Spring 2020 Misc. Updates: -Seasonal versions of the club crest have proven popular. More have been drafted for upcoming dates and events -QUBUF celebrates its fifth year in 2020. Initial ideas about how to mark this event have been drafted and will be put forward to the club in late-Spring of 2020 Minor Notices: - Club members are encouraged to consider if they would like to take part in the Organising Committee (OC) of 2020/21. Hustings for election will take place at the AGM in late-Spring 2020. It is worthwhile to begin considering now if you would like to help bring the club forward next year - Thank you to everyone who was able to come to the Christmas 'Pizza & Pints' event.
